Governmental Affairs Officer
Giovanni Arechavaleta joined the crew after helping document viable restoration alternatives on their expedition to the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. He graduated from UC Riverside with a B.S. in Biology and has experience focused on field biology, environmental education and public outreach. Giovanni’s array of work include biologist positions with the Santa Ana Watershed Association, Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy, and SWCA Environmental Consultants along with docent work for the Big Bear Alpine Zoo. He now provides direct operations management for governmental outreach, public events, social media outreach and environmental education. He also has had the privilege of working on various biological, habitat and air quality projects around the Salton Sea.
