We are working in collaboration with a number of different organizations on a pilot project at the Salton Sea, using renewable energy to purify water, create power, and develop algae and salt-loving crops that can help restore the ecology of the region. Currently still in the planning phases, we are working on a 90-acre land lease with the Torres-Martinez Indian tribe on the West shore of Salton Sea to develop and share these technologies as an example of scaleable restorative design in ecology, and an educational resource for the region. We hope to see this project space open to the public for collaboration and success in regional renewable development.
